Lunch & Learn: Cooperation and Conflict—Georgia’s Native Americans

  • Newnan Carnegie Library 1 Lagrange Street Newnan, GA, 30263 United States (map)

Please join us and the Newnan Carnegie Library Foundation as we welcome Dr. Hendry Miller, the Collections Manager at the Georgia Archives in Morrow. In this multi-media presentation, he will examine some of Georgia’s history with Native peoples—from the establishment of the Georgia Colony through the first few decades of the 1800s. He will also introduce attendees to the records available at the Georgia Archives. Even if you know the history of our state well, you will learn a great deal that will enrich your understanding of our state’s Native Americans.

**Registrants are invited to bring their own lunch to the event. Doors open at 11:30 am. Program begins at 12 noon sharp and ends at 1:00 pm.

***Registration is with Eventbrite at: https://www.eventbrite.com/e/824380001777 .
