Weekly blog posts have returned! While our in-person programming is still on hiatus, we have plenty of virtual programs to keep you busy! Check out the post below for what’s coming up this week. If you missed our last blog post, the Carnegie is open! We are currently open regular business hours(Monday - Friday, 9am-5pm; Saturday, 9am-12pm) with added measures to keep you and the Carnegie Staff safe. Take a look at this post or watch the video below before stopping in.

Monday
9:00 a.m. Craft Time with Ms. Teri 6 and Up
Join Ms. Teri for craft time as she teaches you how to make bookmarks using sharpies and rubbing alcohol!
12:00 p.m. Adult Grab & Go Week 3 Craft Announcement
Visit our Facebook and Instagram pages to find out the newest craft kit we will have available. Stop by during regular business hours to pick one up. Don't forget to wear a mask or face covering to enter the building. Craft kits are available free of charge and include all supplies except scissors. Written instructions are included, and a video tutorial is posted the following week on our social media and YouTube page.

Tuesday
9:00 a.m. Chapter Book Storytime
Please visit our Facebook & Instagram pages for this virtual chapter book story time with Ms. Teri. She will read part three of Bad Kitty.
12:00 p.m. Mr. Damon’s Shadow Puppet Shorts
Join the Carnegie Library and Mr. Damon for a shadow puppet short: The Boar's Active Morning. Registration for this event is required on Eventbrite and will open on July 14th at 12:00 p.m. You can go to the Eventbrite event page and sign up to be reminded when tickets go on sale. After you sign up on Eventbrite you will receive a link to view the class. For questions please call 770-683-1347 or email tanderson@cityofnewnan.org.
Mr. Damon's original shadow puppet shows, workshops, and artistry entertain and enrich theaters, schools, and libraries across the Southeast. He is the founder of Theater Arts and Puppets, a Teaching Artist for the Georgia Council for the Arts, and the Lead Teaching Artist at the Center for Puppetry Arts.

Wednesday
9:00 a.m. In the Kitchen with Kids
Join Ms. Teri as she teaches you (and your kids!) how to make french toast roll-ups.
4:00 p.m. Crafting at the Carnegie
Join Brittany as she teaches you how to make a macramé sea glass necklace. This craft is a part of our Adult Grab & Go Craft program. Unfortunately, all kits for this program have been claimed. Check our Facebook and Instagram pages for updates on what kits are available or call 770-683-1347.

4:00 p.m. YA Craft Time
Join Elizabeth as she teaches you how to create a sun catcher.
