HAPPY BANNED BOOKS WEEK! We have a fun take home kit here at the library to celebrate! We hope you enjoyed last week's programs! Stop by soon to see our newest books and make sure you are following us on Facebook and Instagram, so you don't miss a virtual program.

The Carnegie is currently open Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday, 9am-5pm, Wednesday 9am - 4pm, and Saturday, 9am-12pm, with added measures to keep you and the Carnegie Staff safe. Take a look at this section of our website before stopping in and don't forget your mask or face covering.

Virtual programs are posted on our Facebook, Instagram, and YouTube pages at the time listed unless otherwise noted. They will continue to be available to watch at your leisure.

2:00 p.m. Sacred or Heretical: Banned Books and Religion


Join the University of West Georgia's very own Beth Sheppard in conjunction with the Newnan Carnegie Library for a virtual Zoom event about religious texts that don't fit neatly into the laws of their respective faiths just in time for Banned Books week!
