Please join us and special guest Jill Evans, president of the Atlanta Writers Club and a trustee of the Carnegie Library, as she discusses research and how it’s not just for non-fiction or historical fiction. Jill started, and stopped, a degree in architecture before switching to computer science. After a career as a software engineer, where she worked on projects for clients including El Al Israel Airlines and Japan Airlines, she returned to her creative roots to pursue writing. She believes wholeheartedly in education and community and proudly serves with the Atlanta Writers Club board to bring excellent programing to Atlanta and the wider region. She loves art, architecture and history and writes fiction, both contemporary and historical.
This session will give you the sources and methods to improve your writing, whatever your genre. You will learn how to approach research for character, plot, and setting (interiority vs. sensory), as well as techniques and resources for crafting the best details.
**All writers are welcome!
