Volunteer Opportunities at the Carnegie

All volunteers over the age of 18 must fill out a background check form

Story Time Volunteer
Help set up the room and help with craft preparation. 
Volunteers join in the singing, and games and may read a story to the children.
Volunteers assist program providers with craft
Volunteers help serve snacks.
Volunteers help clean up and put the meeting room back in order at the end of Storytime

Craft Day Volunteer 

Assist program provider with helping the attendees (all ages) with art projects and keeping the room neat

Shelving Volunteer

Shelve books by Dewey Decimal System or alphabetically while shelf reading

Craft prep Volunteer 

Available to cut out or prep items for storytime crafts.

Children’s Movie Volunteer 

Stay in the meeting room while the movie is playing, pop microwave popcorn and refill cups, and adjust the volume if necessary.

Adult Program Volunteer

Volunteer will keep track of program attendees by clicking people in. They will stay for the program and help people find seats/restrooms as needed.

Adult Movie Volunteer 

Stay in the meeting room while the movie is playing, adjust the volume if necessary.

Room set up 

Set up meeting rooms with chairs and/or tables for movies, storytime, or other functions.

Scrapbook Assistant 

Check Newnan Times-Herald and The Paper for articles about the Carnegie.  Cut out and place items in the scrapbook.
